HeyAnita has developed a browser supporting the Speech Application Language Tags (SALT) specification.

SALT allows existing languages, like xHTML, to support speech-enabled telephony apps. The FreeSpeech Platform supports SALT, VoiceXML and COM-based languages to accommodate ASR, text-to-speech (TTS) and telephony board vendors.

HeyAnita's SALT apps include Voice Manager for Exchange (with voice access to email and voice-activated dialing) and typical location-based solutions like business finder, flight tracker, news and stock quotes.

HeyAnita joined the SALT Forum as an original Contributor in January 2002. The SALT Forum aims to create a platform-independent standard allowing multimodal and telephony-enabled access to information, applications, and Web services from PCs, phones and mobile devices.
